What Drives me
Our Mission
My name is Dominique Baez and I am a member of Hamden’s Legislative Council representing the town at-large. I am once again campaigning to support honest fiscal responsibility, economic development, and all the community engagement that helps us accomplish that together. That includes job training & opportunities for our most vulnerable residents, community input from our neighborhoods, beautification for our corridors and implementing proven community policing efforts.
Getting Involved
Every Little Bit Helps
We need all the community help we can during this campaign! As we get closer to the election, we need lots and lots of volunteers. You can help our Democratic Town Committee get endorsed democratic candidates get elected, register voters, encourage your neighbors to vote, and more!
Our Accomplishments
Fiscal Responsibility
Amended and approved 2 of this town’s most honest and balanced budgets, improving our bond rating and putting our town on the right path forward.
Community Input
Created more ways for residents to give public input through council meetings, community meetings, and door to door outreach.
Improved Policing
Enabled the police department to do the most hiring we have had in decades, despite a nationwide shortage in applicant officers.
Beautify
Hired full-time beautification staff to do green work across the town.
Allotted federal dollars for facade work along our corridor in Southern Hamden.
JOBS
Created legislation that requires Hamden Resident hiring on construction projects.
BUsinesses
Created legislation for required Hamden Business participation on construction projects.
Allotted federal dollars to help local businesses.
